Improving on an award-winning formula, Alesis reengineered the speaker components of their famous M1 Active to produce the powerful M1 Active MKII without boosting the price. Internal active crossover and newly designed dual amplifiers ensure a broad, extremely accurate frequency response, clear imaging with a wide sweet spot, high power handling and detailed highs and mids. 6.5" woofer cone is high tensile strength, low weight, non-woven carbon fiber providing quicker transient response in the low frequency range and more detailed upper mids. 1" pure silk tweeter dome for natural response and less ear fatigue. Internally mounted phasing plug and ferrofluid cooling. 75-watt woofer amp and 25-watt tweeter amp with 8th-order high-and low-pass electronic crossover filters. 2kHz critical crossover to improve mid-frequency response and midrange coloration. Time alignment circuitry maintains synchronization of the high and low drivers. Cab offers smooth radiused corners for reduced edge-diffraction and magnetically shielded drivers for use near computer and video monitors. Horizontal or vertical placement.
