Your digital studio without limits
Do you use digital audio equipment? Does your studio require communication between DAT recorder, sampler and computer via digital interfaces? Do you often lose audio quality through frequent copying and additional A/D and D/A conversion? More and more audio signal processing occurs in the digital domain. This means that you frequently have to deal with various interfaces, digital standards and so on. And most likely you've discovered that compatibility doesn't necessarily mean that all your gear will harmonize perfectly.
Various operational modes for flexible application
You can choose between 44.1 and 32 kHz output sample rates, activate or de-active the emphasis function or synchronize the device to an external clock. Several status LED's keep you well informed about current input and output signals.
The digital patch bay
The ULTRAMATCH enables problem-free communication between DAT recorders, samplers, hard disk recording systems, CD players and consoles with standard stereo digital interfaces. Three switchable inputs and three parallel outputs (AES/EBU as XLR and S/PDIF as RCA and optical) are available. Selecting an input with the front-panel switches routes the signal to all three outputs. This allows you, for example, to simultaneously make three digital copies from one master. In addition, the ULTRAMATCH can be externally synchronized via the BNC word clock input.
Why there's no way around the ULTRAMATCH®
Just what is the ULTRAMATCH? The SRC2000 is a real-time sample rate converter, copy bit killer, digital signal enhancer and jitter remover. In short, an all-in-one device for reliable digital signal transfer, which enables you to transfer digital audio signals between various devices with different sample rates, formats or interfaces.
SCMS copy protection
Many DAT recorders have integrated SCMS copy protection. Originally introduced to prevent illegal copying of released material, SCMS presents a real problem for recording engineers. The SRC2000 allows you to deactivate SCMS, enabling 1:1 copies of your master without quality-killing additional A/D and D/A conversion.
Signal enhancement breathes life into your music
Extremely clever circuitry enables you to remarkably improve your audio signal by simply routing it through the ULTRAMATCH. You can, for example, remove drop outs or jitter from a recording and retain the same signal quality even after dozens of copies.
Improve the sound of your CD's
It goes without saying that a 48-kHz sample rate offers better audio quality than the CD standard 44.1 kHz. Unfortunately, program material recorded at 48 kHz cannot be directly written to CD. With the ULTRAMATCH, you can record and master at 48 kHz and then create a 44.1 kHz copy for CD production.
