Avid MediaDrive also keeps your data cool and safe with advanced thermal sensing circuitry that enhances cooling efficiency by controlling fan speed. There's even a built-in heat detection/indicator circuit to alert you to potential problems before either the drive or your critical data are threatened.
Expanded Pro Tools capabilities and more complex sessions demand increased hard drive capacity just to keep up. Each 73 GB Avid MediaDrive offers enough room for 8,800 track minutes of 24-bit/44.1kHz audio, or 6 hours of 24-track recording. This generation of Avid MediaDrives also allows you to play 2:1 compressed video off of a single drive, and to play uncompressed video from only two drives. Of course, capacity may be expanded even further by adding multiple Avid MediaDrives to your system; it's as easy as hooking up a SCSI cable.
