Holton ST307
Holton ST307 Description:
"MF Horn" - .468" bore, 1st slide thumb saddle, Monel pistons, reversed main tuning slide with single-radius crook.
Holton trumpet has been called the best MF Horn yet. It has a bore size identical to that of Ferguson's former main horn
The ST306, but the ST307's specially tapered full-length mouthpipe and reversed tuning slides allow unprecedented dynamic playing freedom, and its tuning slide's more rounded contour makes the air flow more easily than ever before.
The ST307's high register is astonishingly easy to play, and it has a pleasing, vibrant feel with the full, well-centered sound Ferguson always looks for. Says Maynard, "The upper register is as fat and big as the middle and lower-there's no thinned-out sound upstairs."
