Holton ST308
Holton ST308 Description:
Key of Bb. .459" bore, 5" bell, one-piece specially tapered mouthpipe, 1st slide U-hook, reversed main tuning slide with single-radius crook, 3rd valve slide stop, Monel valves, clear baked epoxy lacquer finish.
Maynard Ferguson's model ST308 boasts a smaller 11.66 mm (.459") bore than his model ST307.
Maynard says, "I am pleased that Holton offers my ST308 with a medium-large bore for players using larger mouthpieces typically used in symphonic playing.
I love this slightly smaller horn for my jazz solos, as it does not require the same air stream intensity and leaves me a little more free to be creative."
