The Johnson UK-120 is a bona fide musical instrument. It is durable, playable, and sounds better than $30 should be expected to. It has earned a place in my quiver of fretted instruments. I use it when I want to impart a mournful and introspective tone to a song (e.g "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"). I would buy another UK-120...even at twice the price...without hesitation.
