Numark's new CM200 is designed to be the perfect option for club and mobile applications, with outstanding performance and versatility. The CM200 is also one of the best values ever offered in a rack mixer.

Features include 5 channels, DJ mic control, 10 line, 3 phono, and 3 mic inputs, master balanced XLR outputs with Record and Zone, steep 3-band EQ on every channel, EQ on mic channel, split or blend cueing, PFL gain adjust with meter, fader-start, panning on master fader, and a replaceable, assignable crossfader.

The CM200 backs up its versatile feature set with outstanding performance specs, including THD rated at +0.01%/-0.03% (varies by configuration/application), S/N at 97dB, and Frequency Response from 20Hz to 20kHz (+/- 1dB).

We like this mixer - not because it's brimming with fancy features, the latest digital this or that, but for one reason, and one reason only - it's simple, what it does it does well, and it offers good value for money. It's a 19" rackmount mixer that's aimed firmly at the mobile DJ, and offers him all the essential stuff, and a good range of inputs and outputs on it's 5 channels (10 lines, 3 decks and 3 microphones can be connected) Each input has a gain control and 3 band EQ controls and the DJ microphone input has a on/off switch. It's also got a replaceable crossfader, which can be assigned to any of the music channels and a range of cueing options such as split cue and cue mix. The only negative thing we can find is the way Numark on making the faders reach the correct 0 dB level at about the 80% mark on the faders, meaning over-keen fingers can push the output into the red.

Get round this small issue, and it's an excellent mixer.
