The Sanctuary Series S-32 is a 32-channel mixer designed with several unique, user-friendly features to simplify operation. As on the previously released Sanctuary S-14 and S-24 mixers, Peavey-exclusive technologies such as Automix, Feedback Ferret and Mid-Morph EQ allow any church leader or layperson to use this mixer.
Channels 1-24 can be sent to three subgroups--Solo, Choir and Music--while channels 25-32 have a fourth subgroup option that engages the exclusive Automix function. In addition, there are eight Mute groups that can be programmed to silence groups of instruments, vocalists or other audio sources. All 32 channels include high, low, mid-frequency and Mid-Morph equalization, and all have direct inputs and outputs. The stereo line channels (21/22 and 23/24) will accommodate split-accompaniment audio tracks, which can be sent to the left channel, right channel or full stereo output. The Monitor Blend control allows any mix of the left and right channels to be sent to the monitors.
The S-32 features an extensive output-stage digital processing section with programmable presets for creating specialized effects. For example, you can program multiple Feedback Ferrets, EQs (graphic or parametric) or effects for future recall. This section also includes two digitally processed Auto Delay outputs for setting speaker delays for balcony, overflow seating or nursery areas. A built-in USB output can stream audio directly to a computer for digital recording and playback.
28 XLR mic and 1/4" inputs
The Peavey Sanctuary Series S-32 is the best, most versatile mixer in its class. Most other mixers fall short by limiting the number of inputs and outputs, but the S-32 has 28 XLR microphone and 1/4" line inputs, meaning you'll never come up short of channels. Plus, each and every channel has a full 100mm fader (the industry standard) and a set of 100mm master faders. In low light situations, there are also two mixer lamp (12v) connectors. Now add four monitor sends and a digital 1/3-octave graphic or parametric EQ and delay on the main outputs. What's more, feedback (those ear-splitting squeals) is a thing of the past thanks to Peavey's Feedback Ferret automatic feedback eliminator. The best part of the Sanctuary Series is that the majority of the functions are under auto control, meaning you get superb sound quality without requiring a sound tech with a degree in audio engineering. Eight Automix channels with compression built-in
Automix sounds impressive, but does it really work? You bet! The Peavey S-32 has eight Automix channels onboard. That means the S-32 will take care of things like switching from lapel to pulpit mics automatically and turning down the volume of all channels not currently in use. The built-in compression circuitry even keeps the volume within a comfortable listening range, with no fades, drop-outs or nasty overloads - automatically!
4-band EQ with sweepable midrange and Mid-Morph
The very best mixers allow audio to be precisely tuned to a particular environment by using sophisticated equalization. The Peavey S-32 has pro-quality 4-band EQ on each channel with fully sweepable midrange, so that every channel sounds crisp and clear, without a hint of harsh highs and booming lows. Peavey even added a special Mid-Morph function that allows each channel to deliver optimum clarity and a rich, full dynamic range.
