The RK-300 incorporates Roland's finest 88-note stereo sampled grand piano sound, offering incredible realism from powerful low-range notes to brilliant highs.

Due to meticulous sampling of all 88 notes of a world-famous acoustic grand piano, the RK-300 reproduces every sound and resonant characteristic with clarity, detail, and authenticity.

With the Piano Designer function, you can adjust delicate sound characters such as the open / close degree of the piano lid, string resonance, etc.

Up to 128 voices can play simultaneously, ensuring the natural resonance of strings when using the damper pedal extensively.

The continuous pedals react your pedaling techniques and emotional expressions

The RK-300's damper and soft pedals can detect the slightest and most delicate pedaling work.

Piano-pedaling techniques such as positional depth are authentically reproduced with the RK-300.

Natural-feeling key touch with expressive control

The RK-300 is outfitted with Roland's acclaimed PHA II keyboard, which realizes the natural touch of a grand piano exclusively with the weight of hammers (no springs are used).

The keys sink quietly and smoothly when pressed lightly, and provide slight resistance when pressed more forcefully.

Even the grand-piano keyboard's unique "let off" feeling is faithfully reproduced.

A variety of lesson-oriented features are also onboard

RK-300's convenient lesson-assist features (metronome, recorder, Twin Piano, etc...) can help students master the piano.

Let's play your favorite songs backed by MP3 or audio CD

The RK-300 comes with a popular and widely varied song library on the bundled CD-ROM (stored as music data).

With music data, you can change key and tempo, and you can mute or solo each part separately (right hand, left hand, backing) for play-along practice.

The RK-300 can also play audio data such as MP3 files* from USB Flash Memory and other media; audio CDs can be played via USB CD drive. With audio data, you can change key and tempo, while the Center Cancel feature lets you minimize the melody part so you can play along.

You can be a soloist with your favorite CD, for example.

Piano Roll lets you visualize the music

Piano Roll plays in sync with the music data.

Two types of Piano Roll displays are provided (Classic type: early 20th Century player-piano-like design; Modern type: futuristic music score).

ANIME function combines sound and visual images

Onboard ANIME effects can appear onscreen along with your performances or music-data playback.

Eight types are provided, including Petal, Musical Notes, Note Names, Snow Crystals, etc.

It's an exciting new performance experience, as if you are playing notes and graphics simultaneously.

You can change ANIME parameters (type, color, etc.). You can also control the ANIME effects using the D Beam.

You can layer ANIME with visual images from external DVD player (sold separately), VIMA TUNES® etc. to create unique visual effects.

Enjoy karaoke at home!

With RK-300's bundled songs, VIMA TUNES songs, and Standard MIDI Files with lyrics, you can enjoy a complete karaoke experience at home.

Remote controller (included) allows you to start / stop / change key, etc. from across the room.

Your own digital-camera photos can be utilized as background images of the karaoke-lyric display.

Add background harmony to your singing

RK-300 allows you to add nice harmonies to your singing without any complex operation.

While performing with the RK-300's onboard songs / VIMA TUNES*1 you can automatically add harmonies onto your voice.

You can turn vocal harmonies on/off with a footswitch, freely adding background singing whenever you want it. You can choose the most suitable harmony styles among three types of presets: Duo, Trio and Quartet.

In case a singer is singing along with audio data playback on RK-300, his/her voice can be harmonized as well, according to the real-time keyboard performance on RK-300*2.

*1 The song data of RK-300's Internal Songs / bundled CD-ROM and VIMA TUNES specially contain the dedicated chord information which enables RK-300 to harmonize your voice automatically.

Your favorite music library can be transformed for karaoke

Thanks to the RK-300's Center Cancel feature, your personal music library can become backing tracks for karaoke.

Your CD, DVD*1, or downloaded audio files (via portable audio player such as iPod*2) can be transformed into karaoke songs.

Create a karaoke-party environment by connecting the RK-300 to a large TV monitor and loading visual content such as DVD video*1, 2, etc.

Why not create your own custom-made VIMA TUNES library?

You can easily create your own VIMA TUNES titles for the RK-300 with Cakewalk's SONAR Digital Audio Workstation software and the VIMA TUNES Image Tool plug-in.

Standard MIDI Files and your digital-photo libraries can be incorporated with the VIMA TUNES library. Experience a new, personalized style of karaoke that consists of your favorite songs and photos.
