The Selmer Paris Series III saxophones are characterized by their pronounced clarity. They are equally at home in both classical and jazz. The brass in these instruments possesses a higher copper content (and less zinc) that results in a softer metal and a warmer, richer sound overall. To further enhance response, the Series III Model 64 Sax does not have a badge on the neck, and the neck guard uses a wire design. As with Series II instruments, metal tone boosters deliver a brighter sound and greater projection.
