Toca Percussion TCAJ-BW
Toca Percussion TCAJ-BW Description:
In a quirky choir of indigenous percussion instruments, the cajon would represent the tenor in terms of frequencies that is, its capable of clean highs (soprano) but it ventures down into the lower-mid frequencies.
In such a choir, the new Toca Cajon Featuring Burl Oak Front would take over the bass chores.
A larger cajon with novel design attributes, it delivers a lower, throatier voice.
As such it is an ideal addition to flamenco, world music and Ethnic Instruments ensembles.
Mind you, we didnot construct an enormous structure you need a ladder to play! Rather, the new Toca Cajon with Burl Oak Front is only slightly larger than standard cajons. But the difference in response and low frequency yield is significant.
The new Toca Cajon measures 20L tall by 12L wide and 13L deep, which is a minimal increase in size that will not affect the comfort zone of those accustomed to playing those marginally diminutive ltenor cajonsL.
We have added a half-inch here, and an inch there but when you add it up, the sonic enhancement is more than you imagine.
Finished in a dark walnut matte satin finish, the Toca Cajon features a beautiful burl oak front plate. It is actually adjustable for subtle shifts in tone and timbre. The player sits atop a padded seat that will not impede resonance.
Speaking of resonance, it is greatly enhanced by generous rubber feat that lift the cajon well off the floor isolating it acoustically and preventing vibrations from choking L.
Dual-adjustable interior snares can be set for just the right snap, great for articulating intricate flamenco dance patterns.
And not to flog a point, but the bass frequencies are so luxurious, listeners will think they are hearing a Tumbadora through a sub-woofer! Okay, perhaps we exaggerate.
But you really ought to give the Toca Cajon Featuring Burl Oak with (Adjustable) Front Panel a serious look.
