With the classic good looks of its bigger brothers, the new 15-Watt, 1 x 8" Pathfinder 15 combo packs a profusion of VOX style and sound into a highly compact and affordable package. Like other family members, it sports typical VOX characteristics like basket-weave vinyl, diamond grille cloth, white piping, gold beading and, of course, 'chicken head' pointer knobs.

Performance Control

The Pathfinder 15R houses a wonderful sounding, vintage Tremolo effect and is extremely versatile when it comes to tone. Its distinctive, maroon coloured top panel features a Gain Boost switch plus controls for Volume, Gain, Treble, Bass, Tremolo Speed and Tremolo Depth. Both the Gain Boost and the built-in Tremolo are footswitchable via an optional, VOX VFS2 dual footswitch, offering you even more performance power.

Bulldog Speakers and More

The Pathfinder 15R produces 15 Watts of power that drives a specially voiced 8" VOX Bulldog speaker. In addition to a Headphone output that mutes the internal speaker for 'silent' practice, the rear panel also has a specially filtered Line Out jack for recording/live work and an External Speaker output as well. The Pathfinder 15R also features an onboard Spring Reverb system with a Reverb control that adjusts the level of the effect.

So far anyway, I have been very satisfied w/this amp. Only time will tell as to long-term reliability and/or customer support. This amp definitely meets my needs now and I will keep it as long as it does. I may eventually consider a VR30 model at some point in the future if this VOX product continues to prove itself. The best thing has to be the value--a lot of amp for the money. I don't really have a worst thing to comment on, but still would like to see a larger speaker in it.

I love this little amp! I own two Fe*der tube amps and I am now using this little Vox at rehearsal in place of those. The sounds it gets are sweet - everything from a jangle, to clean, to overdriven with pedals or processor. It lacks a lot of bottom but it is only 15 watts of SS power with an 8" speaker - Still it does more than I expected. Sounds good using the line out to the PA. It has literally changed the sound of our band - we are all able to come down in volume and have more constructive rehearsals. I doubt I'll ever getting rid of it. Line-out, Reverb, Tremelo, and good sound. It's a great little amp.
