Yamaha BSD-1465NJR
Yamaha BSD-1465NJR Description:
BSD-1465NJR Birch shell, 14" x 6 1/2", 20 copper nails embedded in batter-side bearing edge, zinc die-cast hoops, black chrome hardware, Cherry Burst finish over birdseye maple
Birch Shell:
The Hokkaido birch shell has a low fundamental with a great balance of mid-range and high frequencies give this snare drum a fat sound with lots of warmth and body.
The outer ply is highly figured bird's eye maple finished in a beautiful Amber Sunburst and hand buffed to a flawless shine.
Copper Nails:
The JR snare drum has twenty copper nails embedded in the batter side bearing edge.
This speeds up the vibration through the shell and gives this drum quick snare response and sensitivity.
This drum is very articulate and low dynamics with lots of bite when you lay into it.
The nails also give the drum the attack of a metal snare drum while maintaining the warmth and body of a wood drum.
Zinc die cast hoops:
The zinc hoops are rigid for precise tuning, and add a bit of high end to your rim shots to cut through in any musical situation, while giving this drum a nice, clear cross stock for ballads.
Black chrome hardware:
The hoops, lugs, strainer and butt are all finishes in a smoky black chrome finish that perfectly compliments the finish of the shell.
These final touches make this drum look as amazing as it sounds.
