Yanagisawa T991
Yanagisawa T991 Description:
Lacquered brass, high F# key, improved table keys, double-arm low B and C, F-auxillary and low C# mechanism, contoured independent palm keys, hand-engraved bell
Low Bb to High F#. Lacquered Brass, hand engraved. "Much like the 901 but a little more reserved, more mature. A very laid-back instrument, one for connoisseurs of smooth jazz and refined classical music. However, it can deliver when a bit more punch is needed, and high register playing is very secure." - Steve Birtwistle. Supplied with hard case and good ebonite mouthpiece.
The demands of the contemporary music scene call for a tenor saxophone of exceptional expressive, dynamic and tonal range, exigencies easily filled by the T-991. Its state-of-the-art design and playing characteristics allow the player a unique voice among a sea of saxophonists. Yanagisawa's "sway-free" Mechanism is featured, as are contoured palm keys, three-point bell brace and redesigned key and coat guards.
