Latin Percussion Mountable Tamborim and Pandeiro
LP Offers Mountable RMV Tamborim and Pandeiro

RMV Mountable Pandeiro and TamborimA tamborim is a special instrument that incorporates characteristics of small frame drums and snare in a portable, hand held unit. A pandeiro is a similarly versatile instrument with a arguably more aggressive tone thanks to the addition of jingles. LP is now making available premium tamborims and pandeiros from the most respected Brazilian manufacturer, RMV.
The beauty of the new RMV Mountable Micro SnareTamborim and Pandeiro is, as the name suggests, that players can attach them, using the LP240 Percussion Mount or the LP236C Mount All Bracket, to stands or percussion tables. This is significant in that it makes both instruments immediately accessible to players unable to grasp the instruments in traditional fashion. Drumset players or multi-percussionists will find the RMV mountable instruments welcome.
The RMV Tamborim is a 6″ mountable headed instrument with a snare effect that enjoys a full range of tuning thanks to eleven key-operated (key included) tuning screws. The synthetic head will tension up and stay tensioned, impervious to weather changes, and will provide an open sound and cutting snare effect.
Similarly, the RMV 10″ Mountable Pandeiro includes a mount for attachment to a multitude of stand tubes or tables. Equipped with five sturdy sets of jingles and a strong snare effect, the instrument is tunable via ten tuning screws over a surprising range, from crisp and high to low and “splatty”—the latter perfect for New Orleans grooves. It can be played with the hands or, when secured via the LP240 Percussion Mount, with sticks. High strength synthetic heads provide stability
and durability.
LP is pleased to offer RMV indigenous, folkloric sounds—now mountable for ease of playing and contemporary applications.
