B.C Rich Virgo Shape
Last January, B.C. Rich (the king of shapes) introduced yet another new shape — the Virgo. Kind of a combination of the B.C. Rich Virgin and Warlock shapes, it had many striking features including painted bevels and a rail pickup in the front position. It was introduced as a pair of guitars, the red guitar had black bevels and the black guitar had red bevels. The 2004 version even had uniqe red blood drop inlays.
This year the striking tradition continues. This year the guitars are white with black bevels and black with white bevels. Also adding a new dimention to this year’s Virgo, the inlay on the 2005 model is a Vampyre skull.
Rock Clouser, Product Manager for B.C. Rich states, “The success since the January introduction of the new Virgo showed us we had a winner, so our Virgos are always going to be tricked out with unique and cool features as you would expect from B.C. Rich.”
Also this year, there will be additional painted edge around the Beast headstock to match the body bevels. All previous Virgo model specifications apply including: Ebony fingerboard, rail pickup in neck position and humbucker in the bridge position, comfortable 25.5″ scale, 24 jumbo frets, Nato body (Eastern Mahogany), Beast headstock and black hardware. Also in 2005 Virgo cases will be available — (note: these cases will also fit the Wave model guitar).
Other standard features on this updated model include: Agathis body, Maple bolt on neck, non locking heavy mass tremolo, comfortable 25.5″ scale, 24 jumbo frets, dot inlay, chrome hardware and B.C. Rich BDSM pickups. The current BCMGC3 case will fit this new revamped model.
