Award Winning AKG K-271 Headphones
Leading professional audio manufacturer, AKG Acoustics, proudly accepted a 2003 TEC Award for its K 271 Studio headphones in the category of Ancillary Equipment. AKG’s K 271 Studio headphones have received international acclaim for outstanding sound quality, superior wearing comfort and innovative design. The TEC Award was accepted by Dr. Richard Barnert, a member of the K 271 Studio Research and Development team at AKG Vienna and Mike Torlone, Market Development Manager for Studio products and headphones from AKG Nashville. ” This is a great honor to accept the TEC Award for the K 271 Studio headphones,” said Torlone. “It is wonderful to see that the K 271 Studio headphones are so well-received in the industry.”
Two other AKG products were also nominated for TEC Awards, AKG’s WMS 40 diversity wireless microphone system and the CS2 modular conference system. Each year the Mix Foundation for Excellence in Audio and Mix magazine recognizes new audio products that represent superior accomplishment and technical excellence in their respective classes. Products are nominated by a panel of 140 industry professionals and voted on by over 40,000 subscribers of Mix, a leading trade magazine for the recording and sound production industry. The 19th annual TEC awards were presented in a ceremony at the New York Marriott Marquis on October 11, 2003. Presenters of the awards included music and recording legend Les Paul, Grammy-winning producer Bob Ludwig, bassists Will Lee and T.M. Stevens, and famous recording engineers Al Schmitt and Chuck Ainlay.
