Elation Color Wash 575

Elation Professional has unveiled a new generation of DMX
color projectors for clubs, theaters, and other professional users who want to
“color their world” with a rainbow of special effects. The ultimate high-tech
color machines, the Color Wash 575 & 250 are loaded with cutting-edge
features for any color projection need — whether its putting on a spectacular
light show at a club, or finding the “true colors” to highlight an atmosphere
or special presentation.

Both DMX-compatible units, the Color Wash 575 & 250 feature an amazing
moving yoke. Unlike traditional intelligent lights, in which only the mirror moves,
the Color Washs moving yoke provides much broader coverage and will sweep
and drench virtually every area of a club or auditorium in an infinite number
of brilliant colors.

“Not only does the Color Washs moving yoke cover a wider area, but the
all-around movement also the gives the effects the appearance of being
three-dimensional,” said John Lopez, Production Manager at Elation Professional.
“The moving yoke is a truly innovative feature. Its just one way that weve
re-defined the traditional color projector with the Color Wash.”

Another of the Color Washs innovative features is a high-tech, CMY color mixing
system. The CMY system is based on graduated cyan, magenta, and yellow
color filters, which can be mixed to create virtually any color imaginable.
By varying the amount of each filter from 0 to 100%, a continuous range
of colors can be achieved.

Not only can these projectors produce every spectrum in the rainbow,
but by using a DMX controller (sold separately), the user can change colors
in any sequence. Any DMX controller, such as the Elation Show Designer,
can be used to program specific shows to fit the needs of the presentation.
For example, a stage presentation may call for a rapid change from a clear blue sky
to a midnight blue evening. With the Color Wash intelligent programming system,
these changes can be produced smoothly, quickly and precisely.

Both the Color Wash 575 & 250 include 16 control channels, 4 dichroic color
filters plus white, and 32K and 56K color correction UV filters. Both units are
also loaded with user-friendly features and interfaces that put complete control
at the operators fingertips. Among these conveniences are: a 4-digit L.E.D display;
readouts on lamp useage, temperature, DMX values and other variables;
built-in self-test mode for all effects; remote lamp on/off; and addressing,
special functions setting, and effects calibration via L.E.D. menu panel.

Automatic pan/tilt position correction is another user-friendly feature.
Both the Color Wash 575 & 250 have a pan movement range of 530 degrees
in 2.65 seconds, and a tilt movement range of 280 degrees in 1.68 seconds.

Color Wash 575
The Color Wash 575 is the bigger, brighter of the two units, featuring a brilliant
575-watt lamp. It is equipped with a color wheel that rotates in both directions
with variable speeds. The Color Wash 575 also features motorized beam angle
control, with adjustment between 7 and 28 degrees. An innovative beam shaper
is also included, which widens or flattens beams to fit the needs of any setting.
