Elation Professionals is helping clubs, theaters and
auditoriums add “joy to their world” with the intelligent Joy 300 special
lighting effect. The Joy 300 is a DMX-compatible color/gobo
scanner/projector thats loaded with innovative features, including a unique third effects wheel, gobo indexing, and special laser gobos.

The old cliché “third wheel” refers to an unwelcome guest, but the Joy 300s third wheel produces such visually stimulating effects that it will become the life of any party. Separate from the units color and gobo wheels, the third wheel includes: three additional colors; an innovative frosting effect; and 3- sided and 5- sided prisms, which divide a large gobo into three and five smaller patterns respectively. The third wheel also features color correction 32K for color mixing, allowing users to produce their own creative combinations.

In addition to the third effects wheel, the Joy 300 has a gobo indexing
capability when used with a DMX controller. This high-tech feature memorizes a gobo in a preset position, allows the user to store the particular position, then projects the gobo again in the same exact spot. This feature is especially handy for clubs and venues that want to cast their logo in an eye-catching location.

“The gobo indexing feature is perfect for larger venues that want to visually entice patrons by projecting their logo, or any other image, in the same exact spot,” said Lopez. “For example, if you have a horizontal blank space, the Joy 300 can cast a clubs logo directly in the center each and every time.”

Yet another special feature are the Joy 300s unique laser gobos. The laser
gobos are cut right into a glass wheel, so that the user can overlay patterns
and colors. With this layering effect, the colors melt into one another to
produce a seemingly endless supply of color combinations.

The Joy 300 features 10 colors, plus white, and 6 gobos, plus spot, to choose from. In addition to the 6 gobos, there are 5 changeable gobos, which allow clubs to add their own variety. The Joy 300 also strobes in every color.

Still another unique feature of the Joy 300 is that, at the DMX setting 255,
the color and gobo wheels become sound active. This allows users to program their own chase scene, using a DMX controller, and then have that scene move to the beat of the music via sound activation. Once the music starts to play, the lights will have a mind of their own as they gyrate to the beat. Users can program their own shows, using 30 self programmable steps.

The effect can also be operated as a standard intelligent fixture with any
DMX controller. It is equipped with 12 DMX channels.

By providing such a multitude of features, the Joy 300 offers clubs and stage presentations a wide variety of effects to create a stunning light show. Adding to the variety of options, the user can choose from two special lamps– one designed for long life, and the other for high illumination output — to meet different needs. The HSD- 300 is a 300 watt, long life lamp that will provide 3,000 hrs. of lighting entertainment and is great for heavy-duty professional use, allowing users to change lamps less often. The HDI-300 is a super-potent lamp that provides a 15%-20% higher lighting output for venues that want extreme brightness.
