Numark, the first and only DJ company to offer USB audio technology on its mixers, is pleased to announce the CM200USB club mixer. Recognizing the growing use of computers by professional DJs, Numark has integrated two high-quality USB audio interfaces into the CM200USB, enabling the streaming of computer audio directly into the mixer. The CM200USB is ideal for club installations and mobile DJs with its 4RU, 19″ rackmountable design. Offering five channels plus dedicated DJ mic control, master balanced XLR outputs with Record and Zone, steep 3-band EQ on every channel, plus EQ on the dedicated mic channel, this rugged mixer is brimming with all the features necessary to handle the most demanding music environments.

The CM200USB is Plug and Play compatible with both Mac OSX and PC/Windows—eliminating the need for installation discs or special drivers. With two built-in USB audio ports, the CM200USB enables mobile DJs to play their entire set from the computer directly into the mixer with no external audio interfaces required. MP3, WAV, WMA, and other computer audio formats can be mixed with CDs and vinyl. Because the Master and Record outputs are sent to the computer, the CM200USB is also a powerful recording tool. With full duplex capability, the CM200USB facilitates simultaneous recording and playback. There is also a direct USB routing capability that bypasses the mixer section, for ripping vinyl or other sources to the computer with the shortest signal path. The CM200USB can be used with any DJ software that supports two sound cards. Numark includes demo DJ software for the PC to get users started.

The CM200USB’s five channel design plus dedicated microphone section provides 8 line, 3 phono, 2 USB, and 3 microphone inputs including a top-mounted Neutrik® “Combo” input that accommodates both XLR and 1/4-inch connectors. Each channel includes PFL (pre-fader listen) gain controls and a 3-band EQ with Kill function. DJs will certainly appreciate the user-replaceable, fully assignable crossfader that is conveniently set up to activate remote-start CD players. Outputs include a high quality master XLR output offering panning and mono options, plus Record, Zone, and Headphone outputs with split blend mixing controls for cueing.
