A cost-effective solution for users looking to get audio in and out of their computer without purchasing expensive computer audio cards, the DM950USB facilitates plug and play operation under both Mac OSX and PC/Windows with no additional drivers.

The DM950USB features dual USB audio ports built into the mixer, enabling users to take advantage of the multiple sound card feature found in most DJ mixing software. These two USB ports facilitate two audio streams to or from a single computer, as well as being able to accommodate audio streams to or from two separate computers. Since the DM950USB receives streaming audio directly from the computer, the mixer’s controls work on the audio in real-time—eliminating any issues of latency, which are common to computer music environments.

The DM950USB’s inputs include two USB, two phono, two to four line level (if phono preamps are defeated), plus a microphone input—making it a terrific tool for integrating a wealth of audio equipment such as turntables, CD players, computers, line level devices, plus a microphone. Outputs are offered in both analog form and two digital USB outputs for the record and master signals. With full duplex capability, the DM950USB facilitates recording at the same time as playback. The DM950USB makes it easy for users to mix and record from multiple sources along with the music from their computer.

Additional features of the DM950USB include a replaceable crossfader, slider style cueing, and a headphone output. Even though no special software is required to use this mixer, Numark includes a demo version of Alcatech’s BPM Studio (a DJ program for playing music files). The DM950USB package also includes USB cables.
