Denon DJ has recently received awards from two
prestigious industry associations for its cutting-edge DJ products. The announcement comes
on the heels of Denon DJ introducing the revolutionary rack-mountable DN-D6000
Professional Dual CD/MP3 Player.
At the DJ Magazine Technoscan Awards, held just after the PLASA Show in London, the
Denon DN-D4000 Dual CD/MP3 Player won honors in the category of Best Dual CD Player.
DJ Magazine readers and a panel of experts choose the award recipient. The magazine
stated, “Denon is famed for creating robust and reliable players suitable for the install and
mobile market and while they have their reputation coming firmly from these grassroots DJ
scenarios, this new player embraces MP3 technology more reliably and sensibly than any
other player of its kind.”
Denon DJ’s recently launched DN-S1000 CD/MP3 player and DN-X100 “battle” mixer have
both been awarded with the Good Design 2004 designation by the prestigious Japan Industrial
Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO). Kimura Akihito, from Denon Ltd.’s Global Marketing
Division Design Group, designed both products. Kimura’s previous designs include the

acclaimed Denon DN-S5000 and DN-S3000, from the world’s first line of active spinning platter
CD/MP3 players.
JIDPO was founded in 1969 and is the only organization in Japan involved in the
comprehensive promotion of design activities. These activities have included the
implementation of a Design Year campaign, sponsorship of the Good Design Awards (the socalled
G-Mark), and publication of the quarterly magazine Design News. During the 21st
century, JIDPO further intends to develop the Good Design Awards — which have become
one of the great public assets of Japanese design.
